Sony Camcorder vs. dSLR

Am I just dreaming, or are we about to get a proper camcorder with a proper sensor and proper glass? If Sony can hit the magic $1,500 price point with all of the features of a standard modern camcorder, it just might be true. But by Fall 2010? And they only have a rough 3D render in Summer 2010? Color me skeptical (but hopeful).
